Clipper lets loose

Yet another clipper will affect Michigan this weekend. Mainly the northern portion of the lower peninsula, but all areas are expecting a decent amount.

The systems will drop out of the north, but will not fall south enough for us to get in the heaviest snows. Areas around the thumb could be expecting up to 8 inches. Anywhere south looks to get about 5 inches. Surprised no watches or advisories are not out yet but I imagine its because it will be a semi-log duration snowfall, outside of the Watch/Advisory requirements. ( i just noticed there is a WSW for areas of the thumb) It’s too bad this is happening on a weekend, but I can enjoy a 4 day weekend anyway! The key difference is that the pivot area will be further north and that’s where they will pick up the added inches.

Temperature wise, this penguin weather will move out, but chilliness will still remain behind. This week looks to be warmer compared to last week, but highs still below normal. Towards the end of the week the bitter Canadian may fight back as lows approach what we have now.
