Winter fights back

After a somewhat warmer week temps dropped last night and wind chills cut down into the single digits.

This Saturday we can expect a quick 3-6 inches of snow to blanket the are. Snow should arrive in the morning and last during the daylight hours before tapering off in the evening. We may have the potential to get more if the center of circulation drops further south. Right now worried that we may fall in the dry slot and end up getting less. That’s by the NAM’s terms. GFS plays it further south and we do fall in the heavier area. At least a Winter Weather Advisory is expected as the system approaches. Near warning criteria for 3-6″ with winds in the 20mph region.  Temps look to reamain steady in the upper teens and upper 20s.  Going to try to get back in the rythem here, been ‘under the weather’ for a few days.
