Late snow

Well, as I said, this is Michigan and in Michigan the weather can change in an instant. Monday morning you may wake up to almost 4 inches of snow.

Well, here is the deal. Big storm out west right now, blizzard conditions in Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, and Nebraska. At the moment it looks quite unorganized. However, looking at both the GFS and NAM models this low will organize and create a large patch of wrap around snow. Lucky for us we will be in that…like always though there are various ways the storm can shift off course and we can get all rain, all snow or a mix. Areas north near Lansing or along a line on M-59 could see 4-7 inches. Further south the transition will take place later cutting down on accumulations.  Either way it is going to be messy.

The forecast office shows the heaviest banding north in the thumb, but all of this could change as the storm tracks. Updates will be posted as this storm progresses and gets closer. After spring break this will be a shock to many people.

The weather station is now back on-line, turns out we just needed to recalibrate the system, not sure how it got so far off track but it should now be reporting the correct data.
