another cold shot on the way

Big event this week will be the arrival of another shot of cold arctic air from Canada. Lows will be in the teens once again and highs only in the lower 20s. Winds should pick up mid day Tuesday signaling the passing of a cold front. From there on, the cool temps will stay through the weekend. During this time it should be relativity dry except for the passing of the front tonight and Tuesday. Precip will be rain to snow throughout the process.  Models have been fairly random about a possible lake effect storm this weekend but no final conclusions are available.

Looking at the extreme long range there is a storm that may be a brewing to give us a white Christmas just a day or so before Christmas itself. Anything that far out though is very susceptible to variations, just look at the other storms that passed through earlier this month :/
