Timing is key

…And right now it is not looking good…

I was surprised as to how early the snow started to fall today, and the density of it. At this point (6:50pm with 3 inches), the storm shows signs of falling apart and us sliding into a dry space. Now the natural spin of the Low should kick around and bring us another moderate band event later tonight but not as heavy as the stuff we saw today.

Advisory is still in effect until 7AM but really don’t see the snow sticking around that long. (at least a good clip) Falling snow will cut off close to after midnight before becoming just a few flurries.

Behind this system a few days of wind and cold are in store where wind chills may be in the negatives.
