Warming Trend Ahead!

After a fairly fair weather day,it reminds me that we may not see much if any snow the rest of January.

*had to break for some sweet potato frys…

I would not be surprised to see a daytime average of right around 40 degrees for the next week or two. As temps rise, we could be looking at rain more than snow. During nighttime cooling times, atmosphere layers may support freezing rain. However, for something that requires a very specific air distribution, will wait on calling anything massive. This is very dissapointing as we are all ready behind in snow amounts this season, and I believe that resides with the El Nino pattern in full swing this year. Remember it is Michigan, and the weather can flip on a dime, let’s hope a few cancel-school storms will rumble through later in winter because it sure isn’t going to happen in January.

Overall, expect daytime temps in the upper 30s (a touch or two at 40) with a chance of rain next week. Wintry mix is possible thursday night, not expecting anything substantial.
