Warm and stormy

Heat indices could reach the triple digits for Friday as warm moist air arrives from the south. If that was not enough, thunderstorms are expected to roll through the area tonight and Friday night. All this has formed along a stationary front. The are common bringers of hot, humid, and story conditions over the period of a few days. Usually after a cold front passes, you experience different weather immediately. Stationary fronts live up to their name and remain still until a larger air mass can move them.

At the time of writing, a line of storms is trekking through the state. A tornado briefly touched down in Kalamazoo on the western side of Michigan. Radar lit up with pinks indicating some serious updrafts with possible hail or debris if the tornado was that strong, kinda doubt that though.  That cell has weakened, but still showing signs of rotation. Another couple of pockets of rotation can be felt out, but nothing major has been said about those yet, good to keep an eye on them.
