Fall Breathes

If this past week hasn’t gotten you in the fall mood, then this weekend will. A very peculiar weather pattern is in place, taking low pressure systems up the east coast. The counter clockwise spin of  these northern hemisphere low pressure systems will help pull down cool Canadian air. Moving into place in northern Ontario, a strong low will send the cold front down. A strong ridge then forms with a high pressure area helping to further push cool air down. Bottom line: we could see our first frost/freeze this weekend, in fact it is very likely. Through the week temps will be falling through the 60s then for the weekend only getting into the mid 50s! Lows will be equally shocking getting down to the lower 40s and even the lower 30s by late weekend.

Around the passage of the cold front a strong storm system will be moving up the east coast (those lows I mentioned). I believe this would be what Tropical Depression Sixteen is right now, not sure if it will hold together but it does look like a tropical system as it is really amplified on the NAM and GFS. In any case, it looks like areas just east of Michigan, parts of Pennsylvania, New York, could get a decent amount of rain. Our area looks to miss any of the tropical system rain, but we could find a few showers Wednesday night and Friday night.

Should be an interesting setup. Will keep things updated!
