12pm Update: First Showers creeping across, Tornado Warnings galore!

Getting a little wet here in Mount Pleasant, winds still pretty calm. Looking at the sky, a low level of scud cloud is really moving, indicating high winds aloft.

Full on squall line should move through the area between 12 and 1pm. This will be the start of the high winds as well as the possibility for some rain embedded tornadoes. Pay attention to the sky, and heed warnings. Although it may look like rain, a tornado could be embedded inside. While most of these will be radar indicated, it is something to still pay attention to. Right now plenty of tornado warnings in effect from southern Michigan to northern Mississippi.

Big news later today will be the winds sustained at 40-50mph and gusting over 60mph. These will continue into Wednesday meaning long term wind damage potential. Will keep updated throughout the day! Stay dry and stay on the ground.
