Maybe if I change the background…

…spring will come sooner?

Need to step away from the grays for a little while. Why not some blue sky with cirrus? Love looking through GIMP and Photoshop brushes. Thing is I now have a decent stockpile and never get around to using them. Will fine tune things over the next few days and drop in a new header along with it.

Lots of rain today. Near a half-inch towards the southern part of the state. Temps have been on the rise since the passing of a front, and lots of fog has formed. Expect that to thicken and impact visibility through the night. Secondary low development will give us more rain/snow Thursday. At this point, looks like the bulk of precipitation should only hit the extreme eastern shores of Michigan. Places in the thumb could see up to a half-inch of snow if things develop right.

The South has received a lot of severe weather past few days. Louisiana can be called the epicenter. Looking at wind patterns Tuesday, I am surprised more tornadoes were not reported. Nonetheless, there were reports and injuries. (wanted to insert a video here but apparently need an upgrade, in place I give you severe weather reports)

Blue dots represent severe wind, red for tornado, and green for hail. Clicking on one of the images will jump you to a page with more information about each report.

Severe weather reports for March 8th.

Severe weather reports for March 8th.

Severe weather reports for March 9th.

Spring storms like this past one look to continue. Temps look to stay about the same as well. Things will get warm eventually, can promise that.
