EF-1 Tornado Confirmed May 31st. (Bay County)

After a funnel cloud sighting in Midland county, there was damage reported in next door Bay County. NWS survey teams confirmed damage to be of a EF-1 tornado with winds 86-110mph. No injuries were reported, but some buildings were damaged.

I would like to think that wall cloud I saw Tuesday was the eventual tornado maker, but anything could have happened. The line and track out of Isabella County match up however. (red icon with cloud is a funnel cloud sighting, the darker red icon is a tornado)

NWS Severe weather reports from May 31st

Saturday and Saturday night bring the chance for some hit or miss thunderstorms. These will most likely be fairly scattered, but don’t be surprised if you get caught up in one. Expect temperatures to be creeping into the 80s, but nothing too blazing hot. Conditions will be predominantly sunny with chances of some afternoon thunderstorms this week.
