Warmer Temperatures Return & The Tropics

Can expect warmer temperatures to return next week after a shortwave system moves through this weekend.

Rain and scattered thunderstorms are likely on Saturday and Sunday. Not thinking this will be a persistent rain event, more a scattered occasional shower here and there. Will see how the development takes place as that is usually a tricky part to nail down. Rainy nonetheless.

Temperatures will be in the 70s through the weekend, but come Tuesday temps will start to get into the 80s again (jeez feels like I’m writing a Spring post).

I enjoyed the nice weather period by taking bike rides and just dabbling around in the yard. It was a shock shortly after really hot temperatures ravished a week not too long ago.

One big thing I have not talked about much this year, mainly because its been fairly quiet, is the Atlantic hurricane season! Being almost halfway through the 6 month ‘season’, only 4 named storms have formed, and none of those even reached Hurricane status. Lots of disorganization so far. That is not to say the next 3 months will be quiet as well. Right now the National Hurricane Center has 4 areas in the Atlantic under the watch for development, which is looking pretty active!

Meanwhile in the Pacific, lots of storms have occurred, just not threatening the mainland United States. Looks like Mexico has taken the brunt of the winds, wake, and rain so far.
