What Gives?

One minute the settings are perfect. The next, everything is strewn about.

So what gives?

As the pattern goes for another shift, it looks like we will ride the warm wave going into Thursday. Most of lower Michigan will see at least a few drops of rain as a low pressure system ejects from the central US. What looked like a decent snow earlier this week, now looks like 1-2 inches in and around Mason and Clare counties. Overall, this storm looks more disorganized than it did earlier in the week. So, we will get wet instead of white. Highs across much of the area look to be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

On a brighter note, if you’re looking for snow, the overall pattern looks a lot better. I see a decent storm for the Northeast setting up for late this weekend. This usually means we will catch one or two rounds that misguide themselves eastward, if that pattern stays active. Looking at a week from now, we could see at least a light snow.

Media wise, getting some time-lapse settings down pat. Tested out a few Magic Lantern settings on my T2i a few weekends ago and think it turned out well! Just need an interesting weather day and we’ll get the good stuff going!
