Sources

It is important to note I do not have the ability to track weather systems myself as I personally do not have the technology to do so. I rely on outside sources for my forecasts. Using 4 or 5 sites, I conclude on a forecast that makes sense to me and seems reasonable. Most maps and radar imagery I share is from a outside source.

NOAA

Strive off this unit of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for forecast notes, weather watches/warnings, and accurate observations from across the country. Home of the National Hurricane Center and Storm Prediction Center among other great sections to help, “Provide weather, water, and climate data, forecasts and warnings for the protection of life and property and enhancement of the national economy.”

Wunderground

Great data website. My weather station directs data here to be shared and thousands of other stations can be monitored around the world. Some great weather knowledge shared in the blogs as well, notably Dr. Jeff Masters.

SSEC

SSEC is a great resource for all things satellite. I frequent their CIMSS Satellite Blog for spectacular images from recent weather and non-weather events.
